Tunbosun Afolayan, known to many as T.A., is a seasoned energy executive, strategist, and communication expert with over two decades of experience spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She is the Founder and Managing Director of PRO ALLY, a pan-African energy communications and sustainability consulting firm serving indigenous companies and professional associations.

Her career has bridged upstream oil and gas, enterprise decarbonization, ESG, and stakeholder engagement. As a former Principal in Carbon Management, Tunbosun advised multinational corporations, governments, and regulatory bodies on aligning climate transition strategies with commercial and operational priorities.

She is also the founder of the Nexstars STEM Community and serves as Executive Director of the Women in Maritime & Energy Awards, two platforms dedicated to leadership development, visibility, and inclusion for underrepresented voices in energy and STEM.

Tunbosun made history as the first West African SCMP®️ (Strategic Communication Management Professional), certified by the International Association of Business Communicators. Her work integrates strategic communication with operational foresight to drive impact, resilience, and trust at scale.

She lectures in Corporate Communication and Natural Resources Management at the executive Master’s level at Rome Business School Nigeria, preparing next-generation leaders for complexity in dynamic sectors.

With a board-level perspective in ESG, energy transition, strategy, and inclusion, Tunbosun is committed to driving responsible growth and long-term value across industries.

When not working, she enjoys time off-grid with loved ones, a good book, and great laughter, often all at once.
